A client recently shared that they had #bananabread for breakfast, and it was a huge #eatingdisorder victory! The only problem was that one slice of banana bread was the only food on that breakfast plate.
Often #foodexposures cause individuals to undershoot at meals, thinking ”look what I DID!!!” This can make meals less than what they should be - even with a challenging food on the plate.
Here we plated banana bread as part of a snack, with milk and grapes, because even for a snack, banana bread on its own isn’t enough.
"How could banana bread be part of breakfast?" the client asked.Using the #platebyplateapproach, to fill the plate up and include all the food groups we would suggest two slices of bread with grapes, milk, and scrambled eggs.
